Under the provision of the Dean of the College, Dr. Ali bin Abdullah Al-Bazi’, the College of Applied Medical Sciences in Wadi Al-Dawasir held an17/2/1446 orientation meeting today for new students in the Nursing Science Department. The meeting aimed to introduce students to the university’s regulations and policies, and to provide them with essential guidance on the services available to them.
In his address, the Dean emphasized the importance of such meetings in helping new students understand the university’s systems and policies, highlighting the differences between pre-university education and university life. He encouraged students to make full use of the educational resources provided by the university to achieve academic excellence. He also stressed the importance of understanding their rights and responsibilities, as well as the crucial role of academic advising in their educational journey.
During the meeting, the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Mubarak bin Abdullah Al-Dosari, discussed key points that university students, particularly freshmen, should be familiar with. He highlighted the academic challenges they might face and underscored the importance of understanding the university’s regulations and engaging in college activities. He also pointed out the growing demand for nursing specialists in the labor market as part of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.
Additionally, the Head of the Nursing Science Department, Dr. Mostafa Mohamed Zanatty, delivered an introductory lecture about the college. He outlined the college’s mission, objectives, and academic plan.
The meeting concluded with a tour of the college, during which students were introduced to lecture halls, laboratories, the library, faculty offices, administrative offices, and the student services center.
