The College of Applied Medical Sciences in Wadi Al-Dawasir held a training course for employees under the title: “Basic Principles of First Aid,” presented by Dr. Muhammad Al-Jabri, Assistant Professor of Critical Care Nursing at the college, on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 AD,
Al-Jabri said that the aim of such training courses is to empower employees with the basic skills of first aid and how to perform such first aid, and the correct procedures for dealing with emergency situations that require rapid intervention with assistance, and to reach the best possible health condition with simple therapeutic tools or skills.
Al-Jabri added that the course included providing first aid for cases of burns, fractures, bleeding, shortness of breath, fainting, electric shock, and many sudden injuries.
The Dean of the College, Dr. Ali bin Abdullah Al Bazi, explained that training courses are being organized for the college’s employees in order to raise the professional and cultural level by an elite group of professors in various specializations.
Al Bazia added that the course aims to raise confidence in dealing with various cases, such as providing first aid for cases of burns, fractures, shortness of breath, and many sudden injuries, which increases the paramedic’s efficiency and also provides psychological and moral support to the injured person.
