Student Council Unit

Introduction:

The Student Council in the college means the body that is formed from a number of college students elected from their colleagues in the college departments according to the mechanism of the Student Advisory Council Guide at Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University and aims to enhance effective student participation in the university decision to develop the spirit of belonging to the college and the university and develop the educational and academic process in addition to developing dialogue and leadership skills, the spirit of teamwork and contributing to solving various student issues.

Vision:

Enhancing the positive participation of female students in the college and promoting student work by enriching various student activities and participating in distinguished decision-making that will raise the level of the college and place it in the ranks of distinguished colleges.

 Mission:

 Providing a stimulating environment for students to participate in various student activities, urging them to be creative and innovative, and involving them in the decision-making process that will improve the place and contribute to the development of the educational and academic process.

 Goals:

1. Representing the student point of view in the department and college in everything related to the educational process.

2. Touch the needs of the student body and transfer them honestly and objectively to the directly relevant authorities.

3. Activating the mechanisms of dialogue, and supporting constructive communication between the student body, the educational and administrative staff, and academic leaders.

4. Encouraging, developing and enhancing student leaders.

5. Enhancing the spirit of belonging to the university, the college and the academic program by proposing programs and activities that support this.

6. Encouraging students to establish clubs, committees and student groups in accordance with the university's rules and regulations.

 Development and Quality Unit

Introduction:

 Quality (according to the definition of the International ISO Organization): It is the fulfillment of all agreed requirements so that it achieves customer satisfaction, a product of high quality and economic cost.

 Quality has received great attention in most countries of the world as one of the main pillars of the successful management model that aims to keep pace with international and local changes and try to adapt to them. 

Continuous development and quality assurance of education is among the priorities of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and is considered the main pillar of the Kingdom in pursuit of progress and advancement of education to meet the challenges of the times and global competition, for this reason, Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University and consequently the College of Applied Medical Sciences in Wadi Al-Dawasir pay attention to seeking to obtain local and international academic accreditation for the college's academic programs. To achieve this goal, the establishment of the Development and Quality Unit at the College was necessary.

Unit Vision:

Reaching excellence in achieving national and international standards in quality assurance and academic accreditation.

Mission of the Unit:

Meet the academic accreditation requirements by the National Center for Academic Accreditation and Assessment for the college's programs through the application of an internal system for quality assurance to improve and develop the educational process while raising the efficiency of all departments and units in the college.

Objectives:

• Identify all teaching and training needs of all college employees

• Providing technical support to the various departments and departments of the college to implement quality standards.

• The unit coordinates between the Deanship of Development and Quality and the College to implement the university's policies regarding quality and academic accreditation.

• Organizing workshops to spread the culture of quality.

• Coordination with academic departments to review periodic reports

Participate in the preparation and implementation of the strategic plan of the college.

Academic Advising Unit

The concept of academic advising:

Academic guidance is one of the most important pillars on which the quality of the outputs of the educational process at the undergraduate level is based, as it is concerned with building the student academically, psychologically and socially throughout his affiliation to the university, and this care is to help the student formulate his goal of joining the university according to what serves his tendencies and ambitions and contributes to building his society, and this care is also represented in achieving this goal in the easiest and most efficient way, by helping him adapt to the academic system and remove the causes that lead to his stumbling He was late in reaching his goal.

Vision:

Pioneering counseling services that refine the student's personality and build the academic scientific community.

Mission:

Enhancing the values of learning and discovering the skills enjoyed by the student through the optimal employment of thinking and creativity abilities to reach the lofty goals of university education.

Objectives:

The academic advising program aims to embody a major aspect of the university's vision and mission by helping students understand their academic problems and ensure that they are treated in a beneficial way and result in providing effective outputs from the sons and daughters of the country equipped with science and skills to participate in building a knowledge society.

- Providing the necessary advice and assistance to the student to successfully complete the study plan within the study period

- Spreading awareness of the university's mission and systems

- Spreading awareness of the various services provided by the university to its students

 Statistics and Information Unit

Functions of the Committee:

1. Collect data and information related to the university and college.

2. Identify and analyze database requirements in light of management needs.

3. Obtaining statistical data from inside and outside the department.

4. Providing the concerned authorities with statistical data on the activities of the college.

5. Preparing reports and statistics for profit as an important guide and source for responsible managers and decision makers.

Community Service Unit

Vision:

Achieving excellence in community service

Mission:

Providing distinguished educational and educational programs that meet the needs of all members of society

Alumni Affairs and Employment Unit

Introduction:

 The Alumni Unit at the College of Applied Medical Sciences in Wadi Al-Dawasir is a special unit concerned with following up the affairs of graduates to facilitate the student's transition from the educational environment to the practical environment, following up on graduates and knowing their news, in order to ensure that the college maintains a permanent and strong link with graduates.

Vision:

Distinguished graduates with skills and experience that are compatible with the requirements of the labor market, communication between graduates and the college, and providing positive support.

Mission:

Opening effective channels of communication between the college and its graduates by following them up and guiding them to enter the labor market, raise their efficiency, develop their skills, and coordinate with their employers for meaningful and constructive cooperation to serve the college, graduates and society.

Objectives :

1- Continuous and effective communication with graduates and employers.

2- Providing the necessary data and statistics for graduates.

3- Providing graduates with continuous updates in their fields of specialization to develop their scientific and professional level and skills.

4- Motivating graduates and students expected to graduate to participate in the programs offered by the college and the Alumni Unit.

5- Developing the skills and competencies of graduates and developing their personal qualities to compete in the labor market.

6- Identifying the job performance and professional problems of graduates and benefiting from them in the proper planning of study programs.

7- Follow up on the conditions of graduates and collect information on the jobs they have obtained.

8- Assisting graduates in finding employment opportunities that suit their abilities.

9- Establishing partnerships with the labor market.

10- Organizing graduation projects and assisting in providing support for distinguished projects.

11- Contribute to the participation of distinguished graduation projects in local, regional and international competitions.

 Research Unit

Objectives of the Research Committee:

Organizing matters related to scientific research and graduate studies and encouraging and supporting scientific research and researchers in the College of Applied Medical Sciences. Also, to serve as a connection between people engaged in research and the administration of the university.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

The task of the Research Committee is to monitor and evaluate research in the field of supervision, to track developments in research funding and inform staff about it. This is achieved through:

1. Actively encourage members and students of the institution to basic science and clinical research and thus increase human knowledge.

2- Deepening and strengthening the base of scientific research at the level of the Institute.

3. Track developments in research funding and inform members about them

4. Receive and disseminate information from the Dean's Office on issues affecting research.

5. Serves as a forum for discussing the improvement and expansion of research activities.

6- Motivate members to submit project proposals that focus research on health problems related to society.

7. Supervise and assist in the implementation of quality assurance processes in aspects of research, including the participation of academic members in member development activities.

8- Communicating the needs or problems related to research and the research environment to the Dean's Office.

9. Provide recommendations to coordinate activities with other committees participating in the research.

10. Encourage collaborative research, and establish a network of international strategic alliances with leading international research institutes

11. Develop and build the capacity of graduate students in research methodology and methods in various fields.

12. Monitor the performance of research and research of the University including regular monitoring and review of the research plan and the development and control of standards, including metrics and agents, to measure the performance of institutional research and the success of research initiatives.

Examination Evaluation Unit

Tasks and Responsibilities

1. Receiving test question papers for all courses.

2. Ensure that the number of question papers inside the envelope for each course matches the number of students registered in each section.

3. Ensure that the envelopes of the tests are arranged according to the schedule of tests (date - day and time).

4. Ensure that the student enters the committee with university cards:

5. Put the student's data on the test seat.

7- Receiving the envelopes of the answers to the questions to the control committee with the number of students' attendance.

8. Receive a copy of the attendance sheets.

9. Submit the envelope of the answer sheets to the course professor according to the attendance list

10. Receive the envelope of the answer sheets after correcting them according to the attendance list

12. Receiving the results of the courses and recording them in the results list daily.

 Unit Vision:

Excellence in discovering the talents and abilities of students and developing their creative and creative energies.

 Mission of the Unit:

Providing purposeful and planned activities in various fields, meeting the needs of the student community to contribute to the establishment of a generation that believes in work and social responsibility, and has the ability to develop itself and its talents, which contributes to the development of students behaviorally, cognitively and emotionally.

·         Creating a fertile environment for creativity and innovation among students.

·         Participate in the formation of the student's personality, discover her abilities and talents and work to develop them.

·         Investing students' leisure time in useful works that lead them to achieve their goals.

·         Designing targeted and thoughtful programs according to educational foundations.

·         Building students' capacities in the field of life skills.

·         Developing participation and teamwork among students.

·         Expressing loyalty and belonging to the homeland.

·         Activating the role of the university in volunteer work and social responsibility towards society.

·         Enhancing life skills, leadership and self-confidence and instilling a sense of initiative and responsibility among students.

Tasks of the Unit:

Develop a plan for student activities for each academic year

Involve students in the implementation of various student activities inside and outside the college.

Training students on the use of self-learning methods and skills during the practice of various activities.

Training students to take responsibility and develop their talents and creative abilities.

Develop self-confidence, love of work and the spirit of consensual and cooperative teamwork.

Holding training courses for students in the fields of activities in order to provide the necessary knowledge and experience to students.

Holding seminars and lectures periodically, whether with the participation of external parties, faculty members or students.

Taking into account that no student activity negatively affects the academic achievement of female students.

Announcing to students, on an ongoing basis, student activities in the Deanship.

Formation of the Student Advisory Council.

Formation of student clubs.

Announcing to students the annual student conference at the university and encouraging them to participate in it.

Prepare a detailed report on each student activity in the unit.

Prepare a comprehensive annual report on the work of the unit.

Preparing and organizing the "closing ceremony of student activities" in cooperation and coordination with the Deanship of Student Affairs at the university.
