The program began on Tuesday, 10 Rabi’ Al-Awwal 1447H (September 5, 2025) at the Colleges Complex Theater in Wadi Al Dawasir, under the patronage of the Acting Dean, Dr. Mubarak bin Abdullah Aldawsare. He delivered a welcoming speech congratulating the new students on their admission and encouraging them to strive for academic excellence and community service. This was followed by an introductory presentation on the college, the Nursing Science Department, its vision, mission, and curriculum, presented by Department Head Dr. Murdhy bin Abdullah Aldawsari and Dr. Mostafa Mohamed Zanaty. Dr. Mohamed Messad Al-Jabri (Coordinator of the Advising Unit) then spoke about the unit’s role and services, highlighting the support provided by the Psychological Clinic at the Deanship of Student Affairs. Dr. Walid El-Sayed Hemaida (Supervisor of the Alumni Unit) discussed the unit’s contribution to professional development and preparing students for the Saudi Nursing Licensing Exam. In addition, graduate student Saad bin Mohammed bin Mubarak Al-Dosari shared his academic and clinical training experience. The session concluded with an interactive Q&A session with students.
In the female section of the college, Vice Dean for the Female Section Dr. Saja Abdulrahman Al-Thubaity welcomed the new female students, praising the university’s efforts in providing a supportive educational environment. The program included an introductory video about the university, the college, and the faculty, followed by a lecture on the study system and curriculum by Dr. Sahar Ali Abdulmohsen (Department Coordinator for female section), and a comprehensive lecture on the services of the Advising Unit by Dr. Mirfat Mohamed El-Kashif (Supervisor of the Advising Unit – Female Section). The students were also introduced to various units in the college such as the Quality Unit, Student Activities Unit, Talents Unit, Student Council, and student clubs, with a brief presentation of their objectives. The session concluded with an open discussion to address students’ questions and the distribution of welcome gifts in an interactive atmosphere.
