The Student Council of the College refers to the body formed from a number of the College’s female students, elected by their peers across the College’s departments, in accordance with the mechanism set out in the Advisory Student Council Guide of Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University. It aims to promote effective student participation in University decision-making, to foster a sense of belonging to the College and the University, to develop the educational and academic process, and to cultivate the skills of dialogue, leadership, and teamwork, as well as to contribute to resolving various student issues.

The Graduates Unit at the College of Applied Medical Sciences in Wadi Al-Dawasir is a dedicated unit concerned with following up on the affairs of female graduates, in order to facilitate the student’s transition from the educational environment to the professional environment, and to keep track of graduates and their news—reflecting the College’s keenness to maintain a permanent and strong line of communication with its graduates.

Distinguished female graduates possessing skills and experience that align with the requirements of the labor market, with communication between graduates and the College and the provision of support in a positive manner.
Mission
To open effective channels of communication between the College and its female graduates by following up with them, guiding them toward entering the labor market, enhancing their competence, developing their skills, and coordinating with their workplaces for purposeful and constructive cooperation that serves the College, the graduates, and the community.

Objectives of the Research Committee
To organize matters related to scientific research and graduate studies, and to encourage and support scientific research and researchers at the College of Applied Medical Sciences. Also, to serve as a liaison between those working in the field of research and the University’s administration.
Duties and Responsibilities
The task of the Research Committee is to monitor and evaluate research within its area of oversight, and to track developments in the field of research funding and inform staff of them. This is achieved through:
∙ Working actively to encourage the institution’s faculty and students in basic sciences and clinical research, thereby advancing human knowledge.
∙ Deepening and strengthening the scientific research base at the institutional level.
∙ Tracking developments in the field of research funding and keeping faculty informed of them.
∙ Receiving and disseminating information from the Dean’s Office on issues affecting research.
∙ Serving as a forum for discussing the improvement and expansion of research activities.
∙ Motivating faculty to submit project proposals that focus research on health problems relevant to the community.
∙ Overseeing and assisting in the implementation of quality assurance processes in research aspects, including the participation of academic faculty in faculty development activities.
∙ Communicating needs or problems related to research and the research environment to the Dean’s Office.
∙ Providing recommendations for coordinating activities with the other committees involved in research.
∙ Encouraging collaborative research and establishing a network of international strategic alliances with leading international research institutes.
∙ Developing and building the capacities of graduate students in research methodology and methods across the various fields.
∙ Monitoring the University’s research performance, including the regular monitoring and review of the research plan and the establishment and monitoring of standards—including metrics and proxies—to measure institutional research performance and the success of research initiatives.
